Enabling DNSSEC for Your Domain
DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) adds an extra layer of protection to your domain by ensuring that DNS responses haven’t been tampered with. It helps prevent DNS spoofing and hijacking attacks — especially important for e-commerce, financial, and high-trust sites.

How DNSSEC Works
DNSSEC uses cryptographic signatures to validate the integrity of DNS records. When enabled, it ensures that the response your visitors receive from DNS servers hasn’t been modified by a third party.
This adds protection against man-in-the-middle attacks and fake DNS responses.
How to Enable DNSSEC on Envosta
- Log in at envosta.com/login
- Go to the Domains tab
- Select your domain and click “DNSSEC”
- If DNSSEC is supported for your domain extension (TLD), click “Enable”
Once active, your domain’s zone will begin signing its records with digital signatures.
Important Notes
- DNSSEC only works when using Envosta’s nameservers
- Not all domain extensions (TLDs) support DNSSEC — if your TLD doesn’t, the option won’t be available
- Be cautious when switching nameservers or migrating DNS — disable DNSSEC temporarily if needed to avoid issues
