How to Test Your Site Speed (and What to Look For)
Speed is a major factor in how your site ranks, how long people stay, and how well it converts. Fortunately, testing your site’s speed is easy — and knowing what to fix makes a huge difference.

Step 1: Run a Speed Test
We recommend using one of the following tools:

Key Metrics to Watch
- Load Time: Ideally under 2 seconds
- Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): Should be below 2.5s
- Total Page Size: Smaller = better (aim for under 2MB)
- Number of Requests: Fewer requests typically load faster

Common Bottlenecks
- Unoptimized images
- Too many active plugins
- No caching or compression in place
- Slow external scripts (e.g., fonts, ads, or trackers)
